Your DoorDash orders flow directly to your POS with Doshii.
The Doshii-DoorDash integration allows your DoorDash orders to flow directly into your Point of Sale (POS) without having to manually accept or reject orders on your tablet and orders will print in your kitchen like any other order.

Depending on your POS system, there can be a waiting period between when you sign up and when you can go live with an integrated DoorDash menu. While we work with your POS provider to get your venue connected and build your integrated DoorDash menu, your DoorDash account will continue to function normally - sending orders to your tablet.
We aim to have your DoorDash integration up and running as fast as possible. For this reason, once your POS connection is active, our team will begin to replicate your existing DoorDash menu, including item names, descriptions, prices and images and use this as a basis to map your menu to your POS items.
Learn about integrated menus and DoorDash.
When your integrated DoorDash menu is ready, our CS team will reach out to you to provide an opportunity for you to review the menu and schedule a go-live date - from this date, your DoorDash integration will be activated and orders will begin to flow directly to your POS system.
Depending on if you are an existing Doshii customer or a new Doshii customer, and the POS system that you use, there is a slightly different timeline towards going live with your DoorDash integration.
For existing Doshii customers with a live POS connection
If you are already a Doshii customer and have an active connection with your POS, when you request the DoorDash integration, Doshii will automatically subscribe your venue to DoorDash. Our CS team will begin mapping your DoorDash menu to your POS items. Once we have the majority of the menu built, our CS team will share the integrated menu for approval and set a date to go live. From this date, your DoorDash integration will be activated and orders will flow directly to your POS system.
For new Doshii customers who use Square or Lightspeed POS
If your POS is Square or Lightspeed, as soon as you sign up to Doshii, your POS connection will be live. We will automatically subscribe your venue to DoorDash and begin mapping your menu to your POS items. Once we have the majority of the menu built, our CS team will share the integrated menu for approval and set a date to go live. From this date, your DoorDash integration will be activated, and orders will begin to flow directly to your POS system.
For new Doshii customers who use all other POS:
If you are new to Doshii and your POS is not Square or Lightspeed, there is a delay between when you request your POS connection and when it becomes active - during this time Doshii CS work closely with your POS provider to get this connection established. Doshii will not subscribe your venue to DoorDash until this connection is active. Once subscribed, our CS team will begin mapping your menu to your POS items. Once we have the majority of the menu built, our CS team will share the integrated menu for approval and set a date to go live - from this date, your DoorDash integration will be activated and orders will begin to flow directly to your POS system.
Initial Setup
When your DoorDash integration via Doshii is activated, there are a number of changes that will automatically take place and it's important that you are aware of them.
When your DoorDash integration is activated, the following will occur:
DoorDash Menu Management will be turned off - this is because your menu will now be an integrated menu controlled via Doshii. All future menu changes must be made using Doshii's Menu Manager.
The ability to manually accept or reject an order via your DoorDash tablet will be turned off. All orders will be automatically accepted by your venue and sent to your POS. There is no configuration with the integration that will allow you to manually accept orders.
If there is no response from your POS within 8 minutes of the order being placed, the order will be cancelled.
If your POS rejects an order that has been submitted, the order will be cancelled.
Fallback process: by default, if there is an issue with a DoorDash order submitted to your POS (either rejected by your POS or your POS doesn't respond within 8 minutes) DoorDash will automatically cancel this order. If you would like to have the order fall back to your DoorDash tablet and have the option to manually accept and key the order into your POS, this can be configured by request. Simply reach out to Doshii and we will request this for you. Alternatively you can also request this directly with DoorDash.
Operating Hours will be controlled and set in Doshii. You may have previously set the store hours in the DoorDash portal or configured your DoorDash site to open based on whether your tablet is turned on or off. Once the integration is enabled, you must use Doshii to define and update your operating hours.
Things to be aware of
- To request the integration, you must have an existing Doordash account.
- By connecting to Doshii and requesting to connect with DoorDash, any existing connections to alternative providers will be disabled as soon as your POS connection is complete.
