Which information does Doshii receive from Ordermate?

Doshii receives your menu from your POS, including items, option groups and variants:

  • An item is a stand-alone item that is often sold alone (e.g. hamburger)
  • An option or variant is contained within an option group (e.g. "Small", "Medium" and "Large", or "Chips", "Salad" and "Vegetables") and cannot be sold as a standalone item
  • An option group is a grouping of options or variants that can be applied to an item (e.g. "Choose a size", or "Add a side")

When creating an online menu, a certain menu structure must be maintained.

Syncing POS products to Doshii

Ordermate is initially configured to have all items available in venues also available in Doshii.

If items are added or edited, the menu must be manually synced in Ordermate for changes to be reflected in Doshii. For support with this process, please refer to the Ordermate support page.

If you encounter any issues performing this menu sync in Ordermate, please create a support ticket and we'll investigate this for you.

Option groups

Ordermate supports the concept of global options, where any option set created in your POS can be used with any menu item.

Please note that any option groups not linked to an item won't be visible in Doshii.

Refer to this Ordermate help guide for more information about option groups.

Managing product availability

Inventory is managed in Ordermate. Refer to these help guides for more information about stock control:

Note that Doshii does not display the number of items in stock; items are displayed as 'available' or 'unavailable'.

Item availability updates are passed to Doshii in real-time.

Troubleshooting

Can I use Doshii to create or edit items/options in my POS?

You cannot create POS items and options in Doshii; they must be created in your Ordermate POS. Any changes you make to your menu in your POS will automatically sync to Doshii.

Why can't I find a POS product in Doshii's menu management tools?

If you can't find a specific POS product using Doshii's menu management tools, first try to manually resync your POS menu from Ordermate.

If you still cannot locate the product in Doshii, please create a support ticket.

Why is my pricing different in my POS menu in Doshii?

Ordermate allows you to create different pricing levels for menu items.
When you integrate with Doshii, the first pricing level is synced with Doshii by default.  The integration can only support one level of pricing.

You can request to have a different pricing level synced to Doshii - this will replace the pricing of the original menu that was synced.  For example, if you are using Doshii to connect delivery apps and you have a different pricing level for these, you may wish to have that pricing level synced with Doshii, rather than your default in-venue pricing level.
